Plot: Arika Yumemiya has traveled far in search of her goal: the prestigious Gualderobe Academy. This is the school where young girls are trained to become Otomes, protectors of royal leaders throughout the lands. Here, Arika makes plenty of friends, but some enemies know something about her past that she does not. Nevertheless, her spirit and determination will keep pushing her forward. — Adapted from its predecessor, Mai-HiME, this series is not a direct sequel, but an alternate universe setting featuring some of the Mai-HiME cast (though with different personalities).

    this was a lame show i like mai hime better. in mai otome i got gross’d out in that one episode where the guy sleeps with his adopted daughter, when that happened i was like wtf thats just sick but it was a sight to see though XD and that other episode where that spiral girl did that thing in the pool…that was hot! but this show was dull in the plot area and lead you a stray which i didnt like so if you just wanna pass the time i recommend watching this =)

    I don’t like arika that much. there’s another people who doesn’t think she’s suitable to be the main lead character either.

    Mai otome is a really interesting & cool anime, but the main protagonist, arika, isn’t suitable to be the main character. Mai is much better. she’s great at Mai HIME. she has the charisma to be the lead character.

    arika is a nice girl & brave, but she is dumb, dense, and slow. what piss me the most from her is at Mai Otome OVA episode 1. masahiro made the correct decision to raise the tax to build the country and for command natsuki to get back to garderobe to prepare for battle. arika in both case just doesn’t try to listen & understand masahiro even blame masahiro saying she is being cruel. arika’s thickheaded.
