Genre: Action, Mystery, Drama, Horror, Supernatural, Psychological, Thriller
Theme: Mind F*uck
Age Rating: Mature
Plot: The story follows Hiroshi Kuzumi, a 16-year-old boy who has just moved to the seemingly serene village of Jogamachi. Nestled in the mountains far away from the city, the village is divided by a river that separates old Jogamachi from new Jogamachi. Young Hiroshi soon discovers that the village’s ancient as well as mysterious traditions and customs have been kept alive over the ages. Although a bit bewildered by the new environment, Hiroshi begins to settle into his new life. While he has never been the type to win any popularity contests, he quickly earns the affection of his classmates. That is with the exception of aloof class president, Nemuru Kushinada, whose only words to Hiroshi are a warning to stay away from old part of town. It is there that terror and mystery await him.

i love how all the posts refer to other anime than about the one ppl want to watch lol. This show was awsome and ive seen way better horror mind fu*ks than this BUT! it was enjoyable and im glad i decided to watch it. “Warning if u are prone to flashing lights naked Shinigami girls or extreme amount of gore and might have a heart attack, watch this show now!”
i thought Chaos head was a”Mind F*ck” kinda show personally i really didn’t expect him to have that kinda of sword and that he wasn’t really a real person
Oh I enjoyed that anime very much. I’m just saying it’s disappointing unless it is on a level of mind f*ck or equilivant to something that is a mind f*ck which explains why I enjoyed Bobobo, FLCL, and Excel Saga. All of them have mind f*ck elements but no Cthulhu. Granted their mind f*ck elements are limited to being extremely random or eye brow related.
Nin, there are other horrible things than the Cthulhu mythos. Here’s looking at House of Leaves.
Although not creeping horror, I think Seriel Experiment Lain is classified as Mind F*ck on this site. I found it greatly enjoyable, if somewhat predictable.
I have never ever seen a theme for “Mind F*uck” before That’s special…That’s the kind of special theme you would see reserved for anything remotely related to Cthulhu.
If I don’t see Cthulhu or something close enough to count in this…I will now be very…very…disappointed.
